Terms and conditions for using Service Invoice Pro.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Service Invoice Pro ("we," "us," or "our"), an invoicing and business management platform operated at app.serviceinvoicepro.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Description of Service
Service Invoice Pro is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed for service businesses such as landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, and general contracting companies. The platform provides tools for creating invoices, managing customers and jobs, sending estimates, tracking expenses, processing online payments, and syncing with third-party accounting software.
The service is provided via web browser and as a progressive web app (PWA) installable on mobile and desktop devices. An internet connection is required.
2. Accounts and Registration
To use Service Invoice Pro, you must create an account by signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account and login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate and complete business information
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your business.
3. Plans and Billing
Free Plan
The Free plan provides access to core invoicing features at no charge, including creating invoices with line items, tax, and discounts; sharing invoices via link; downloading PDF invoices; marking invoices as paid; and tracking revenue on the dashboard. The Free plan is subject to feature limitations as described on our pricing page.
Pro Plan
The Pro plan costs $19 per month and includes everything in Free plus online payments (credit card and ACH), automatic payment reminders, recurring invoices, estimates with customer approval, expense tracking, team management, and additional features. Additional team seats are $10 per month per seat.
Billing Terms
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
- Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel
- You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
- We may change pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect
You can upgrade from Free to Pro or downgrade from Pro to Free at any time. Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Service Invoice Pro to:
- Conduct any illegal activity or facilitate illegal transactions
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or fraudulent invoices
- Abuse the email sending functionality (invoice emails, payment reminders) to harass recipients or send content unrelated to legitimate business invoicing
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform, servers, or networks connected to the service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform
- Use the platform to store or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Impersonate another person or business
- Create invoices for fictitious transactions or use the platform for money laundering
We reserve the right to investigate and take action against any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service.
5. User Responsibilities
As a user of Service Invoice Pro, you are responsible for:
- Accuracy of business data - ensuring that your business name, contact information, tax rates, invoice amounts, and other data you enter are accurate and complete
- Tax compliance - determining the correct tax rates and tax obligations for your business and jurisdiction. Service Invoice Pro is a tool that applies tax rates you configure; we do not provide tax advice and are not responsible for incorrect tax calculations due to rates you set
- Invoice accuracy - reviewing invoices before sending them to your customers. You are solely responsible for the content of your invoices
- Compliance with laws - using the service in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those related to invoicing, taxation, and data protection
- Customer relationships - managing your relationships with your own customers. We provide tools to send invoices and reminders on your behalf, but you are responsible for the business relationship
6. Intellectual Property
Our Platform
Service Invoice Pro, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the platform without our written permission.
Your Content
You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Service Invoice Pro, including your business information, customer records, invoices, estimates, jobs, expenses, and any uploaded files (such as your logo). We do not claim any ownership rights over your content.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you - for example, to render your invoice with your logo and send it to your customer.
7. Your Data
Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Key points:
- You own your data. We store and process it only to provide the service.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- You can export your data at any time (CSV, PDF).
- You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
8. QuickBooks Integration
Service Invoice Pro offers an optional integration with QuickBooks Online that allows you to sync customers, invoices, products, and payments between the two platforms.
Service Invoice Pro is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc. or QuickBooks. QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Our integration uses Intuit's public API in accordance with their developer terms.
- The QuickBooks connection is optional. You choose whether to connect.
- You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from Settings.
- We store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain the connection. These tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
- Data synced from QuickBooks is stored in your Service Invoice Pro account and subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- We are not responsible for changes to QuickBooks' API, service availability, or data accuracy from QuickBooks.
9. Stripe Payments
Online payment processing for both subscriptions and invoice payments is provided by Stripe, Inc.
Service Invoice Pro is not a payment processor. When your customers pay an invoice online, the payment is processed directly by Stripe and deposited into your connected Stripe account. We facilitate the connection but do not hold, process, or have access to the funds.
- To accept online payments, you must connect a Stripe account (Pro plan required).
- Stripe's standard processing fees apply to each transaction. These fees are charged by Stripe, not by us.
- You are responsible for complying with Stripe's Terms of Service when using online payments.
- We are not responsible for payment disputes, chargebacks, or issues with Stripe's service.
10. SMS Messaging
Pro plan users may enable SMS text message notifications to send transactional messages to their customers, including invoice payment links, estimate links, appointment reminders, and dispatch notifications. By enabling SMS features, you agree to the following:
- You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers before sending them SMS messages through our platform.
- You may not use the SMS feature to send spam, unsolicited marketing messages, or content unrelated to legitimate business transactions with your customers.
- Customers can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You must honor all opt-out requests immediately.
- Message and data rates may apply to recipients.
- SMS messaging is provided through Twilio, Inc. and is subject to Twilio's Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Termination
By You
You can stop using Service Invoice Pro at any time. To close your account, contact us at support@serviceinvoicepro.com. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first from Settings to avoid further charges.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms, including the acceptable use policy
- You use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activity
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period (we will notify you before taking action)
- We are required to do so by law
If we suspend or terminate your account for cause, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and provide an opportunity to export your data, unless prohibited by law.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow you to request an export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Service Provided "As Is"
Service Invoice Pro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
Not Professional Advice
Service Invoice Pro is an invoicing and business management tool. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your business situation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Service Invoice Pro and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Service Invoice Pro and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Content you create, send, or store through the platform (including invoices and estimates)
- Disputes between you and your customers
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last revised.
